Google recently launched their webspam Penguin update. While they claim it only impacted about 3.1% of search queries, the 3.1% it impacted were largely in the “commercial transactional keywords worth a lot of money” category.

This in turn is destroying the internet marketing cottage industry that had built up upon the emergence of the internet since 1996 and what hundreds of thousands of business owners have come to depend on to keep their business running and their employees paid and families fed. Because Google has a monopoly on search, there needs to be tighter constraints on them so they cannot destroy a cottage industries at a flip of a switch!

It is time the FTC looks further into the actions of Google. Google is now pushing serious business out of natural (free) search and forcing them into their (paid) advertising programs to gain web traffic. Google has also has the control to take sites OUT of their index which makes them virtually worthless. They did this to 20 thousand of my websites equal to about $1 million in domain inventory and resulted in a 60% loss of my customer base.

Yes I am an SEO (search engine optimization) professional that created websites for others to use to link from. I and others like me are not the scum Google would like you to believe we are. We are good people filling a need in the business sector just like any other business.

I WAS an America Sucess stories! I have 19 people on my payroll who have families and children to feed, I take care of my parents, I am helping finance 3 young adults through college, I make generous donations at local fundraisers and now almost overnight, Google has managed to almost completely destroy all of that, my life and the lives of people whom depend on me.

How can we let a single company have so much control?

It is a sad, sad day for the company who’s mission statement is “do no evil” is doing so much of it!!

On another note, but similar “evil” do’er, I would also like to ask the fake robot to report on real issues instead of harassing others to make his claim to fame.
